Andrew is an MD-PhD trainee with research and clinical interests in child and youth mental health, with a particular focus on racial and ethnic disparities in mental health outcomes and service access. His work examines how social and structural determinants shape mental health across populations, with the goal of identifying modifiable risk and protective factors that can inform equitable prevention and intervention strategies for marginalized communities.
His research uses large-scale population-based survey data to study how family, school, and neighbourhood contexts contribute to disparities in mental health and well-being. He is especially interested in applying advanced quantitative methods to better understand complex, interacting determinants of health and to generate actionable evidence for policy and practice.
